We have too many 2009 yearbooks! We are sold out of 2006 and 2008 yearbooks, but if you want a 2009 one, you’re in luck. For a limited time, the Yearbook Committee will be selling the 2009 book for $50. If you’re interested, contact Mrs. Lagace in the library.
The Yearbook Committee is trying something new this year. We are selling yearbooks online at jostensyearbooks.com. You can go to the website to order a book, and personalize your book cover with your name, grade, or an icon to represent your favourite sport or interest. Yearbooks will be $50 until March 31/10. After that date, the price goes up to $60, so order your book today!
The Yearbook Committee is organizing a pizza day that will take place on Friday, February 19/10. Pizzas can be ordered and paid for the week before. Look for the Yearbook Committee table outside of the library. Prices will be announced in February.
September 2009
Welcome back! The 2009 yearbook is at the printers and we are anxiously waiting for it’s arrival by the end of November/09 early December /09. We do have a few available for pre purchase for $60.00. So if you didn’t have a chance to order a book before June you can still buy one now, just see Mrs. Lagace in the Library. When the books come in we will plan our Homecoming 2009 with our past graduates and then the book will be distributed the next day at lunch to the current students. It is always an exciting day when the new yearbook is unveiled.
Now on to the present! Our yearbook committee has been selected for the 2009-2010 school year. We are very excited to welcome back Josh, Jordyn, Nicole, Dani, Erin and Becky As well we look forward to working with new members Emily, Kayla, Joanna, Mindy, Jordy, Hannah and Leanne. We hope your yearbook experience will be a wonderful learning opportunity. We appreciate and value your hard work and spirit of volunteerism to complete a project that is very important to Sanford Collegiate and the student body.
WORKSHOP
On September 29th 2009 there was an all day training workshop in the library for the Yearbook Committee. Mr. Hryhoruk facilitated the training session which included using a digital camera, planning photos, editing, transferring images using Photoshop and working on the Jostens Online Yearbook Program. Lunch will be provided by the yearbook advisors.
SPC CARDS
Student Price Cards are available again in the library for $8.50. These cards are good for 1 year and offer discounts on fashion, food, sports and travel. For a limited time, a Bluenotes gift certificate for $10.00 is being offered for every SPC card purchased.
2009 – 2010 YEARBOOKS NOW ON SALE ONLINE
We are trying something new this year. Order your yearbook 24/7 online at http://www.jostensyearbooks.com. Yearbooks are $60.00 this year BUT if you order your book before March 31, 2010 you will receive $10.00 off. (This is the price reflected on the online site till March 31st so order now!) It is fun and easy to do. You can add little extra’s on to your book like engraving your name, grade, a message or icons of your favourite sports or school activities. Protective coatings for your yearbook as well as photo holders. Grads … they even have extra signature pages that you can get before the school year is over so you can capture all the autographs of your class before they graduate and then double sided tape fits the pages into your yearbook when they arrive in November.

You Can Help
Even if you have too many activities on your plate and can’t afford the time to be a full time yearbook committee member we are always open for suggestions for the yearbook and always need more pictures. Make a CD of your best shots and hand them in to one of the advisors. We are always looking for great shots of school activities.
