A local business, MK Agro, is in the Thank a Retailer contest to win $30,000 to put toward community initiative. The companies plan is to donate the funds to the Kelly Kabernick foundation. A portion of these funds will go towards a memorial scholarship for grads from Sanford Collegiate. To support this, the company needs your votes! You can vote once a day everyday from now until February 14. Please find the link to vote on our school website homepage.
The school will allow facebook logins until the contest ends Feb 14th. Students are most definitely encouraged to vote daily but voting is not to be a distraction while in class.
In Senior Boys Basketball, the Sabres overcame a slow start to defeat Morden 68 to 48. Sanford only led by 2 at the half and responded in the third quarter by hammering down with their legendary press.
Logan Schreyer had 24 points to pace the attack, followed by Logan Nyman with 20 and Charlie Major with 18. Nyman and Cole Baker combined for 5 threes late in the game to seal the deal. Great job, boys!
The Varsity Girls Basketball team played their rivals the Morden Thunder last night. The game was a defensive battle all the way through.
The Sabres went down by 9 in the 4th quarter, but made a big comeback. Unfortunately, the Sabres lost by 2. Great job to all team members on their effort!
