Are you thinking of a career in medicine and/or health sciences?
Discovery Days in Health Sciences are one-day workshops that give high school students who are interested in science the opportunity to explore a variety of career options in medicine and the health sciences.
A Discovery Day comprises a dynamic keynote lecture, interactive workshops and a career panel discussion. Students gain a clear picture of what it would be like to be a health professional by interacting with researchers, clinicians and educators in their real-life work setting.
If you would like more information or would like to application to attend Discovery Days, please see Ms. Chase this week!
Are you looking for volunteer opportunities? Volunteering is a way to gain experience, make new friends and have some fun! There is a Volunteer Fair happening September 27 and 28. If you would like more information, please see Ms. Chase or check the volunteer bulletin board in Student Services.
Are you interested in developing a skill that not only provides stress release for dealing with the demands of school life but can be useful? Well, then you need to join The Knitting Club! This is a place where as you learn a skill, you can relax, gain volunteer hours and make a contribution to a variety of charities. All materials are donated and knitted projects will be donated to a charity chosen by the knitters. Kniting Club will be held every Friday in the Library starting this Friday. Doors open at 12:20 and you can bring your lunch. Hope to see you there.
