Sanford Collegiate offers a number of music and arts programs for students to choose from. Our music program offers Choir, Band and a Jazz Band.
Jazz Band, rehearses Thursdays afterschool for one hour. Jazz Band is worth .5 credit and runs all year from the 3rd week of September until the end of May. Typically Jazz Band travels to perform at the Brandon Jazz Festival in March, travels on the bi-annual tour, performs at the Open House in February, performs at the Winter Concert in December, and performs at the feeder schools in the division periodically.
Choir is a curricular subject worth .5 credit and typically is taught during the Second Semester. Choir students often perform at the Meridian Arts Festival in April, at feeder school concerts in the Spring, and travel on a bi-annual tour in the odd years. Spring of 2015 will be the next tour and will probably be to Edmonton, AB.

Bonjour et bienvenue! French Club is open to any student currently taking French at Sanford Collegiate. We meet as needed over lunch hour to plan cultural events that celebrate la joie de vivre! Check back soon for our 2016-17 itinerary.
Drama Club operates on a two-year cycle. In the first year, we present a major performance, and in the second, the group travels to New York City, San Francosco, and Los Angeles to experience large-scale performances. The trips are open to Clothing, Housing and Design and Drama students who are in Grade 11 or 12 during the trip year.
The trip occurs every two years for six days over the May long weekend. Students will visit many exciting places both cultural and historical. Students must meet specific requirements to be eligible to go on the trip.
