School Life
There is never a dull moment at Sanford Collegiate. From
Staff/Students intramurals, to yearly camping trips, students
and staff interact beyond the walls of the classroom.
GYM RIOT
The gym riot was a great success this year!!! It came right down to the last activity to see who would claim the championship. As it turned out it was a tie between the Grade 11's and Grade 10's. Way to go grades!!!
SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
Dylan Gousseau, Avery Gervais, Renee Lavoie and Matt Dodds participated in the Senior Buisness Development Workshop on December 3. The students were divided into teams and had to development a business plan for a new business in one afternoon. Dylan Gousseau and Avery Gervais's team won the event. They developed a business idea for a teen drop in center. Great job!!!
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Starting on November 12 and ending on November 20, our school took part in the national Operation Christmas Child project. The project was simply filling a shoe box full of toys, books, necessities, etc.. which were afterwards sent to children in desperate situations all over the world. We also ran this event last year and we managed to bring in 50 boxes, so our goal this year was to reach over 50. The final count for boxes was 52 so we reached our goal! Everyone who participated did a great job filling the boxes and on behalf of Lauren Miller and Tessa Hobson we would like to thank everyone who took part. Those 52 boxes are sure to make a difference in many children's lives this holiday season. Check out the school life page for a picture of all those students who participated.
